As a Tacoma native, REALTOR® John Douville absolutely loves his hometown, and wants to help you join his family of neighbors in North Tacoma! He believes that it is the best place to live in Washington, and he is ready to show you exactly why!
Before delving into the world of real estate, John worked many fields and owned a couple of businesses: “I've owned a small nursery out towards Puyallup, called Jade Mountain Nursery, as well as a small landscape company. I worked for a contractor in Bonney Lake as a framer, as an independent handyman, and I interned at Boeing for engineering out of high school. Throughout it all though I've worked in the restaurant industry for fifteen years and held every position from dishwasher to bar manager. The underlying years of customer service, a background in construction, and running successful businesses has led me to this fitting combination.” He believes its an agents duty to not only have extensive knowledge of the mechanics of a transaction, but that of the home as well. "Quality of service is paramount in this business. I believe in complete dedication to the interests of my clients."
His years of experience have taught him how to work and serve his clients: “I listen well and take nothing a client may say for granted. Details are important and creativity is a must.”
John has lived in the UPS area of North Tacoma for six years now, and he knows the neighborhood well and loves living in it. Each year, he grows a beautiful vegetable garden: “I take a lot of pride in producing enough tomatoes for not only myself, but all my neighbors.” He also stays busy with running in the Tacoma Runners Club, golfing, and working on several projects in his large metal/wood shop. John is also a huge Seahawks fan! “I might be one of the loudest Seahawks fans ever.... of course all us Twelves think that I suppose.”
A: I've found that honest communication and ardent listening keep all relationships healthy and prosperous. After that, I have fun. Emotions, misconceptions, and desires can run high on any given day in this business. It's important to keep it light and interesting while addressing important issues and negotiating to a successful transaction.
